Racing/Rally/Car History:

  • Paul first became involved in performance rally by working controls on the 1971 POR. 

    • This event was observed by the FIA prior to the rally being added to the World Rally Championship for Makes in 1972. 

  • Having been bitten by the bug, Paul then prepared a Datsun 510 for competition and competed in the 1972 POR and many performance TSD rallies and stage rallies in the 70's. 

  • In 1978, he and his longtime navigator won the Ohio Rally Championship. 

  • His favorite rally was the Sunriser which in the 70's, 80's and 90’s used many of the same roads used by today's SOFR. 

  • When not competing, Paul was working controls on rallies in Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, New York and West Virginia. 

  • In 2012 and 2013 he was Chief of Controls on Rally West Virginia. 

Paul is married to Nancy and has two grown children and three grandchildren.
